Constantino Ruiz Lopez was born in 1973, of Italian and Spanish origin. He grew-up in the suburb of Paris. He lived surrounded by lots of curios, which may partly explains the kitsch esthetism he uses in his photos. Younger he used to grab his parents' camera. He liked to shoot cemetaries, his friends and toys. After a litterature degree, and a few years spent at university (Science of language at La Sorbone), he decided to live on his passion, photography, and went to an art school to learn studio technicals. He is now photographer in Paris.

Constantino Ruiz Lopez work as a director, expressing his personal concerns in his pictures. Far from reporting and investigation, his work consists in reconstructing a personal world, not best for that all.
